Regulatory Framework and Recognition
India International Bullion Exchange IFSC Limited (IIBX) operates under the regulatory oversight of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), the unified regulator for financial services activities conducted within India's International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs). Established on April 27, 2020, under the International Financial Services Centres Authority Act, 2019, IFSCA is headquartered at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Authority is responsible for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services, and financial institutions operating in IFSCs. As India's sole International Financial Services Centre, GIFT IFSC serves as a gateway for international financial activities, supported by IFSCA's vision of fostering a world-class regulatory environment, promoting ease of doing business, and strengthening India's position as a global financial hub.

Prior to the establishment of IFSCA, regulatory oversight of IFSC activities was exercised by various domestic financial regulators, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), and Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).

Recognized Market Infrastructure Institution
IIBX is a recognized Market Infrastructure Institution (MII) and plays a pivotal role in India's international bullion market ecosystem. The International Financial Services Centres Authority has granted IIBX recognition as both a:
     •   Bullion Exchange
     •   Bullion Clearing Corporation
This recognition has been accorded under the provisions of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Bullion Market) Regulations, 2025, read in conjunction with the IFSCA Act, 2019 and the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956, for the operation and regulation of bullion contracts.
As a key institution within the bullion market framework, IIBX remains committed to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, operational resilience, market integrity, transparency, and regulatory compliance, while aligning its practices with globally accepted market standards.
